Bio

Vika owns a retro sound inspired by nostalgic memories and the urgency of modern blues. With the achievement of 3.5+ million streams on “70s Haze”, and 400,000 streams on her other released music, she is making a name for herself in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Vika’s sultry voice mesmerizes audiences with her passion and power. “Emerging on the indie scene with her raspy Amy Winehouse-esque style, Vika has carved out her niche, continuing to embrace crowds with her melodic lyrics, showcasing her growth not just as a musician but as a visionary artist inspired by icons of the past” (Gordie Tamayo, Boise Beat). Vika is featured on playlists from Soul Lounge to Chill Hits to Indie Pop. Her band, Vika & The Velvets, holds value in keeping their sound “vintage inspired” and have been described as “A blend of soulful blues, the band calls to mind ‘90s alt rock, both in fashion and their unique lineup” (Taylor Waring, Spokesman Review). The moody alto saxophone played by Rogan Tinsley, groove of fretless bassist Andrew Atkison, and bluesy lead guitar played by Eric Kennedy compliments Vika’s voice in an affectionate way. Live performances also include drums by AJ Ramirez and organ.
